Burkhard Meyer studied law, specializing in business management, in Osnabrück and Bremen.
1996: Attorney at the business law firm Schimmelpfennig & Schaarschmidt in Bremen, a highly specialized law firm for international companies from the mechanical and plant engineering and automotive sectors. Specialization in business contract law, technical safety law, product liability law and building law.
Since 2005 Burkhard Meyer has been a specialist adviser to the TÜV NORD Akademie on legal matters relating to mechanical and plant engineering. He regularly holds training courses and seminars on the following topics: Machinery Directive, CE marking, CE coordinator, Product Safety Law, Product Liability and Contract and Claims Management in Mechanical and Plant Engineering.
